What EdgeBridge does
Every serious deployment eventually hits the same wall: the ERP is in the cloud and the hardware is on the floor. Barcode scanners, weighbridges, label printers, RFID readers, biometric terminals, IP cameras and GPS units all speak their own protocols over serial ports and local TCP, and none of them are going to reach a hosted application on their own.
EdgeBridge is the bridge. It runs as a service on a machine inside your network, speaks each device’s native protocol through a plugin, and exposes one clean, authenticated channel to the ERP over REST and WebSocket — in both directions, so the ERP can also drive a device: print this label, open this gate, take this snapshot.
It is built to survive a bad day on site. Events land in a durable local outbox before anything is transmitted, so a dropped internet connection delays the data rather than losing it; when the link returns, the queue drains in order. Plugins load in isolated contexts and are distributed as signed packages through a marketplace, each verified by SHA-256 before it is installed — so a gateway can be updated remotely without anyone visiting the site with a USB stick.

What you get with EdgeBridge
Store-and-forward by default
A durable local queue accepts every device event immediately and forwards it when the network allows. Losing the internet costs you latency, not data.
Two-way command channel
A persistent WebSocket lets the ERP drive hardware on site — print a label, read a tag, capture a weight, trigger a camera — without opening an inbound port.
Isolated plugin architecture
Each device type is a plugin loaded into its own context and talking only to the gateway event bus. A misbehaving driver cannot take the gateway down with it.
Plugin marketplace
Browse, install and update plugins from a hosted catalogue over HTTPS, with every package hash-verified on install and publishing locked behind a separate private key.
Rules engine
Turn device events into actions locally — weight over threshold, tag seen at gate, scan matched to order — so automation keeps working even when the link is down.
Diagnostics and support bundles
A local web dashboard for configuration and health, plus one-click support bundles that capture logs and state for remote troubleshooting.
Everything inside the box
Modules are enabled per customer, so you deploy what you use and add the rest when you are ready for it.
